Yuko Kurihara

Biography

Yuko Kurihara joined Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 2009, working in various fields, including trade policy planning, fair trade initiatives and natural resources and energy. Since assuming her current position, she has been highly involved in robotics-related policy making, aiming to enhance the competitive edge of the Japanese robotics industry, as well as promoting the use of robotic technologies as key tools in solving pressing social issues. Yuko received a BA in International Economics from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Columbia University.
