Nikola Pavesic

略歴
Born and raised in Croatia, studied in Italy, Switzerland and the UK, matured in Tanzania and Japan. Nikola has worked as a lawyer and in the public sector for the UN which is how he originally arrived to Japan in 2011. He subsequently switched to the private sector working for startups and now for Nikkei. Graduate of University of Bologna and Newcastle University has a special focus on public-private partnerships in tech, regulatory solutions and policy implementation. Mr. Pavesic has worked in tech for a number of years and is leading the partnership efforts for Nikkei in terms of startups, VCs and corporates.

国連は、最新のテクノロジー同様、AIが及ぼし得る多大な影響について常に時勢に遅れず認識し続ける必要があります。開発や人道的活動の未来だけでなく、安全保障や武器の問題もあわせて甚大です。 AIがもたらす計り知れない利点の一方で、致死性の自律兵器システム（LAWS）や、官民の大規模インフラを不安定にしかねない無人サイバーセキュリティ攻撃等の重要課題に直面する今、国連軍縮事務局はこれまで以上にプロアクティブな動きを求められています。中満泉国連事務次長、軍縮担当上級代表を迎える当セッションでは、新たな挑戦と今後起こり得る脅威、公的部門と民間が協力して取り組むべき様々なソリューションについて議論します。
